We are proud to offer an extensive faculty of highly-qualified and caring teachers. Every studio teacher has been trained in our methods and principles. The studio staff is experienced in all areas of dance and continue to further their education in new styles and methods of teaching. Debra Collier, MDE, began her dance training at the age of seven and has been a professional instructor for 31 years. To stay current in her field, she regularly attends workshops, seminars and master classes instructed by today's prominent dance authorities. As a member of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, Deb received master certification from CNADM after completion of a required research paper and hours of training. Deb serves on the CNADM Executive Council and in the office of President-Elect. She previously held the office of Principal, where her duties include the selection, hiring and scheduling of the faculty for all CNADM events for five years. She served as a faculty member for the Indiana Annual Dance Workshop in Indianapolis for 12 years and was the founder of Class Act Dance Troupe, Inc. Deb has provided choreography for elementary and high schools, the Warsaw Civic Theater, Grace College and demonstrations for various organizations, elementary and nursery schools. Courtney Clary has been at the studio for over ten years and was a member of Class Act Dance Troupe for eight seasons. She is a graduate of our teaching assistant program and the student honors program of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. She was accepted as member of CNADM after successfully completing written and demonstrative tests in ballet, tap, jazz and teaching techniques. Courtney also instructs the petite troupe of CADT. Amy Clay, CDE, began dancing at the age of three at Verleen's Studio of Dance in Amsterdam, New York. She has been teaching at the dance school since 1990 and has been the office manager since 1995. She was accepted as a member of CNADM in 1997 and received Graduate Certification as a Certified Dance Educator from CNADM in 2001. Amy has served as Sergeant-at-Arms for the CNADM Board of Directors, as a member of the committees for membership and promotional items and also as Chairman of the competition committee and exhibitors committee. Kristina Crane, MDE, has been involved with dance for many years and has experience in tap, jazz, ballet and musical theater. She has been a studio instructor and office staff member since 1998 and joined the staff of CADT in 2000. In addition to various studio classes, Kristina continues her education by attending the CNADM conventions. As a member of the association, she received her Master Certification in 2005. The combination of Kristina's musical theater and dance backgrounds provided her with the opportunity to perform in the Wagon Wheel Theatre's 2004 production of "Cats". Tammy Seibold, CDE, began her dance education at age six. She was a teaching assistant for many years, began teaching in 1988 and has been a member of our office staff since 1991. Tammy has been the director of Class Act Dance Troupe, Inc. since 1992 and oversees the troupe's community presentations and annual performances. Tammy also collaborated with Deb to provide choreography for two musical productions by Grace College. She attended Grace College studying elementary education and learning disabilities. Tammy continues to attend the fall and summer CNADM conventions, where she was accepted as a member of the association in 1997 and received Graduate Certification in 2003. Jessica Smith began her dance education in 1992 and has continued her training in ballet, tap and jazz at our studio and through participation in the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters Ballet Forum, annual conventions and student honors program. Jessica was a class demonstrator for four years and is a graduate of our teaching assistant program. She was a member of Class Act Dance Troupe, Inc where she performed and competed on the local, regional and national levels and is now an instructor for the petite troupe. Jessica was accepted into membership by the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters after successfully completing exams in ballet, tap and jazz. Hillary Umbaugh began her training in 1990 and has continued in the study of ballet, tap and jazz at our studio. She is a graduate of the CNADM student honors program and was accepted into membership by the organization after successfully completing written and demonstrative tests in ballet, tap, jazz and teaching techniques. She was a member of Class Act Dance Troupe for eleven seasons and now assists with the petite and junior troupes. Hillary is a graduate of our teaching assistant program and continues to further her education by attending the CNADM annual workshops. |
