CONGRATULATIONS Recipients for the 2008 Memorial Scholarships have been announced! Congratulations to Cassie Dishman, Olivia Green, Sarah Kerschner and Samantha Nichols. Applicants submitted reports answering "Why Do You Dance?" and/or "What Inspires You To Dance?". Each recipient receives a scholarship for one class for the 2008-2009 annual session. Congratulations to Hannah Crane, recipient of a scholarship from the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. Hannah will be attending the associations Dance and More program this summer. Dance and More is designed for those students intending to pursue a career in the field of dance. FACULTY NOTES...

completed the fifth and final year in the office of Principal for
Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. She now holds the
office of President Elect for the organization. u Hillary Umbaugh was accepted as a member of CNADM this summer after successfully completing written and demonstrative tests in ballet, tap and jazz. Following eleven seasons of performing with Class Act Dance Troupe, she has now stepped into a new role this season - at the front of the room. u Jessica Smith attended the CNADM Convention and was accepted as a member of the organization after successfully completing her membership exams. She also competed with members of the senior troupe in a platinum-winning performance of "Feeling Good" choreographed by Deb. u Class Act Dance Troupe is excited have the addition of two new faculty members. Courtney Clary and Jessica Smith are instructing the petite troupe this season. Courtney is also assisting with the senior troupe. u Tammy Seibold, CDE, is CADT's director responsible for community presentations and the troupe's annual concert. This season her time is also filled with the planning of CADT's trip to Orlando this summer where they will be performing as part of Disney World's Magic Music Days! u The studio staff is pleased to have guest instructor Shani Barnett for master classes in modern, jazz and hip hop this summer.
