It may be the rush of performing for an audience or the sense of accomplishment they feel from the applause – regardless of the reason, for many students, the aspect of performing is their favorite part of dance.
The Dance Etc. programs are recreational dance programs designed for students who would like additional performance opportunities. Students perform for a variety of community events throughout the year, including summer festivals, Christmas festivities, Class Act Dance Troupe’s annual concert, studio recitals, and many others. Participation in Dance Etc. is available in the Fall, Spring, and Summer and does not require an audition.
Dance Etc. is about lasting friendships, building confidence, responsibility, joy, comradery, collaborating with others, improving performance skills, respect, happiness, providing a creative outlet, and fun!
The variety of performance opportunities provided by the Dance Etc. program is a great reward for our students who work so diligently throughout the year during their studio classes.
The Dance Etc. program is divided into three groups:
- Dance Etc. II (ages 5½ – 8)
- Dance Etc. (ages 9 to 12)
- Dance Etc. Teens (ages 12 and up)
Dance Etc membership is open to all age appropriate students who have completed at least one year of dance training. The positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning with members returning from the prior session.
